Regulators need more funding to enforce finance reform
June 9, 2010 — The U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representative are working toward a final version of the financial reform bill, which is expected be on the desk of President Barack Obama by July 4. Sale installed as Coles Professor of Law
Hillary A. Sale, JD, was installed as the Walter D. Coles Professor of Law on March 25 in the Trial Courtroom, Room 309, of Anheuser-Busch Hall.
Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton installs Hillary A. Sale, JD, as the Walter D. Coles Professor of Law in the Trial Courtroom of Anheuser-Busch Hall March 25. Sale’s installation address was “The Importance of Being Public.”
A law school alumnus, Coles served as an assistant U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri from 1894-98. He was a lecturer in the School of Law from 1904-10, once in the area of bankruptcy and once in constitutional law.
Coles also served for more than 30 years on the board of directors of the Law Library Association of St. Louis. In 1935, he began his first year on the bench as a judge on the Supreme Court of Missouri.
