The surface parking lot on the Medical Campus at the corner of Taylor and Parkview avenues (C-lot) will close permanently at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27.
The best parking alternative for School of Medicine employees who use this lot is the Clayton Garage, at the corner of Clayton and Taylor avenues. Other options include the Metro Garage, at the corner of Children’s Place and Taylor, and the Metro U-Pass, provided free to benefits-eligible faculty and staff. The U-Pass provides free boarding of any Metro bus or MetroLink light-rail system train.
The C-lot is closing because St. Louis College of Pharmacy (STLCOP) acquired this land as part of a swap with the School of Medicine for the Rabe Hall property at 4520 Forest Park Ave. STLCOP will construct a new academic building on the land.
