Lowell and Rahn attended a learning session primarily for WUSTL faculty and staff called “Impacting K-12 Education.” The event included a tour of the MySci center, lunch and a panel discussion that included Sarah C. R. (Sally) Elgin, PhD (below), the Viktor Hamburger Professor of Arts & Sciences and professor of biology. Participants learned about the state of K-12 education in St. Louis and collaborative initiatives such as the SouthSide Early Childhood Center that are making a difference. The event was sponsored by the Gephardt Institute for Public Service, the Institute for School Partnership and the Office of the Provost.
