It butter be good!

Freshman Annie Brinza puts the finishing touches on “Eastern Blue Bird” during the butter-sculpting contest, part of the annual Engineers Week, in the Lopata Gallery in Lopata Hall. Sponsored by the School of Engineering & Applied Science, the goal of En Week, held Feb. 16-21, is to increase the visibility of the school on the Washington University in St. Louis campus, celebrate how engineers make a difference in the world and increase public dialogue about the need for engineers. Other activities included a lecture by engineering alumnus Mark Barteau, PhD (BS ’76), director of the University of MIchigan Energy Institute; a paper airplane contest; an IdeaBounce event for entrepreneurs; and more.
