New center welcomes campus community 4 p.m. Sept. 23

Faculty, staff and students are invited to celebrate the grand opening of the Center for Diversity and Inclusion at Washington University in St. Louis from 4-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, in Olin Library, Room 202.

Attendees will be able to tour the space and meet with center staff and advisory board members.

At 4:15 p.m., there will be a short program with remarks from university leadership highlighting the many efforts of campus community members related to diversity issues, the transition of the Mosaic Project, and the mission and direction of the new center. A reception will follow the remarks.

“We are beyond excited to have launched this fall, and we look forward to engaging students, faculty, staff and our broader communities over the years,” said LaTanya N. Buck, center director.
