Student completes USDA fellowship

Jacob Solawetz, a sophomore in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, completed a prestigious fellowship during the summer at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Economic Research Service in Washington, D.C. Solawetz is double-majoring in economics and mathematics.

Solawetz was one of 33 students nationwide selected to participate in the Wallace-Carver Fellowship, a program hosted by USDA and the World Food Prize Foundation. The program offers exceptional high school and college students the opportunity to collaborate with world-renowned scientists and policymakers through paid internships at leading USDA research centers and offices across the United States.
