Forum to focus on university’s diversity, inclusion efforts

Event to take place at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, in Clark-Fox Forum in Hillman Hall

All members of the Washington University in St. Louis community are invited to take part in a forum discussion at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, that will focus on the university’s ongoing diversity and inclusion efforts.

A key topic will be the report and recommendations from the Steering Committee for Diversity & Inclusion. The event will be held at the Clark-Fox Forum in Hillman Hall.

Forum panelists are:

  • Adrienne Davis, JD, vice provost and the William M. Van Cleve Professor of Law;
  • Nancy Staudt, JD, PhD, dean of the School of Law and chair of the steering committee;
  • Provost Holden Thorp; and
  • Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton.

Davis has been tapped to chair the university’s new Commission on Diversity & Inclusion. The commission, one of the key elements in the steering committee’s proposed two-year action plan, will focus on defining and designing the specifics associated with implementation of other report recommendations.

The forum is a continuation of universitywide conversation on these important topics. We hope you are able to join us.
