Prior to his time at Washington University, Professor Bernstein practiced law in New York and Washington, D.C. in a law firm and at AT&T. He has acted as a consultant for the Administrative Conference of the United States, general counsel for the Missouri Division of Insurance, and consultant to the National Association of Attorneys General. Currently a member of the National Academy of Arbitrators, Professor Bernstein serves as a consultant on employment and insurance matters.
