Professor Liu is an expert in asset and options pricing, and portfolio theory. His research focuses on optimal consumption and investment with market imperfections. Liu has also written papers that analyze traders' orders and that explore managerial preference for financial structure and corporate governance. Olin School of Business students have recognized Liu by voting for him to receive the Marcile and James Reid Chair for consistent teaching excellence.
