University, Children’s join national network to study preterm birth

Washington University, Children’s Hospital and the March of Dimes are launching the March of Dimes Prematurity Research Center. During the next five years, the March of Dimes will invest $10 million in the center. The research effort will feature a transdisciplinary approach to discovering the causes of preterm birth to develop new strategies for prevention.

Knight and Bauer halls are the latest university buildings to earn LEED Gold certification for their green design and construction. Home to Olin Business School, Knight and Bauer halls feature locally sourced and recycled materials, high-tech glass and an innovative layout that fosters collaboration.

‘Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson’ opens Friday

“Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson” is an irreverent romp through the American political realm starring the nation’s seventh president. The Performing Arts Department production opens Friday, Nov. 14, in the A.E. Hotchner Studio Theatre and runs through Nov. 23.
