STL To Do: Cultural Connections at Portfolio Gallery

This feature highlights faculty, staff and student picks for great events around town

“Cultural Connections, a 25th anniversary celebration at Portfolio Gallery and Education Center, will offer information and inspiration. St. Louis authors, artists and collectors will present (and offer for sale) African-American art, books, stamps, wood sculptures, hand-woven baskets, poetry and photographs of a historical project with Tillie’s Corner grocery store.

In addition, my colleague Kim Norwood, professor of law, will be signing her book, ‘Color Matters: Skin Tone Bias and the Myth of a Postracial America,’ a fascinating work that changed how I think about race.”

— Adrienne Davis, JD, vice provost and the William M. Van Cleve Professor of Law
