Maxine I. Lipeles, JD, senior lecturer in law and director of the Interdisciplinary Environmental Clinic, was honored by the Sierra Club at its annual awards program in San Francisco.
Lipeles was presented with the William O. Douglas Award, which recognizes those who use the legal system to achieve environmental goals. She has worked with the club’s law program for more than 30 years.
